Rayne is a spunky little girl who started having severe headaches in late 2016 and in January of 2017 her parents learned that their daughter had a brain tumor the size of a golf ball against her brainstem. She had brain surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where she then spent six days in the ICU after 90% of the tumor was removed. The surgeons and doctors agreed to leave the last 10% of the tumor behind because it had become entangled in critical nerves and they did not want to risk permeant damage at the time. This tumor has remained benign (non-cancerous) for the time being but Rayne requires additional treatment as a later scan revealed that the tumor is beginning to grow again.
On March 17th, Rayne began chemo treatments in Rochester in an effort to keep the tumor at bay. This requires weekly trips to Rochester, MN for the next year, at least. Medical bills have been piling up and her parents are doing their best but what they really need is our help. They need to be able to focus on caring for their baby girl instead of worrying about financial issues popping up at them. Due to this, we are going to be offering shirts that Rayne has helped Shyanne design.
The writing on the shirts is Rayne’s actual handwriting and she has picked some fun neon colors for people to wear proudly and in support of her and her parents. Shirts with pink writing will be for immediate family only (we will be running names of those who order them by Jon, her dad, and only if he gives the okay will you receive pink writing) and shirts with green writing will be for those who wish to show their support outside of immediate family members.
